FAQ

Questions, answered

The things server owners ask before they add Nukeless.

Why does Nukeless need Administrator?

To rebuild deleted channels and roles with their permissions, and to remove an attacker who may have high permissions themselves. Its role also has to sit above the roles it protects.

Can it stop the server owner?

No. Discord does not let any bot act on the owner. Protect the owner account with two factor authentication.

What does verification collect?

The captcha answer and a scrambled fingerprint of the network, used only to spot the same network verifying twice. IP addresses are never stored.

Are restored messages the originals?

No. They are copies posted through a webhook with the author's name and picture. Message backup is off unless you turn it on, and messages are kept for 7 days.

Does verification hide my channels?

Nukeless gives the Verified role. To hide channels from unverified members, deny View Channel for everyone and allow it for Verified.

A trusted bot keeps triggering anti-nuke. What now?

Add its user ID to the trusted list on the Anti-nuke page, or turn off the action type it performs.

I changed something on the dashboard. When does it apply?

Within a few seconds. Buttons like Back up now and Save and send to Discord tell you the result on the page.
